Saturday’s Festivities Leading Up To Sunday’s Love Ride On Sunday, October 25
LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Rock powerhouse 16 Second Stare has gained a live performance spot on Saturday, October 24 during California Bike Week. Part of the three–day motorcycle rally includes Love Ride 26, the largest ride for charity in the world, which takes place Sunday, October 25.
The ride begins at the Harley Davidson Buell of Glendale, California and cruises along the I-210
Freeway to the Pomona Fairplex in Pomona, California to benefit Southern California-based
charities. The weekend-long event holds The Pacific Coast Nationals, part of Gene Romero’s
West Coast Flat Track Series among other motorcycle racing competitions, along
with hundreds of vendors and music performances. Love Ride’s founder Oliver Sitokouh and the
event’s organizer Donnie Graves over the years have also made music a highlight of the event.
Multiple music acts perform each day, and last year’s headliners included fan favorites Foo Fighters
and ZZ Top. With Jay Leno as the Grand Marshal of Love Ride, his affiliation with the organization
attracts many high-profile celebrities in past years such as Gene Simmons, Velvet Revolver, Guns
N’ Roses band members Matt Sorum and Duff McKagan and extreme sport athlete Mike Metzger.
Past actors include Peter Fonda, Robert Patrick, Rutger Hauer, Larry Hagman, Mark-Paul Harry
Gosselaar, Michael Trucco, Carmine Giovinazzo, Charlie Hunnam, Mark Boone Junior, Tommy
Flanagan, Johnny Lewis, Kim Coates, Theo Rossi, Cassandra Hepburn, and director Quentin
Tarantino.
In other news, 16 Second Stare recently shot their music video for their latest single Red Carpet
Material by talented young director Justin “Murray Mile” Murray. In April,
Clear Channel online announced the band with the honored title of “Artist To Watch.”
