16 Second Stare ROCKS Stamford
11.18.2008
Saturday, November 15th 2008 the ritzy town of Stamford Connecticut, satelite home of the University Of Connecticut, got a taste of what the south has to offer the rock world with 16 Second Stare.
The band has charted on UCONN's radio station which helped bring the band to Connecticut to play. Its the first time they ever played in New England, and they didn't disappoint.
The show was played at Rack N' Roll, a local bar and grill with a pool and concert hall mixed in. A place fit for the tired college student looking for something to unwind with after a hard day of learning. 16 Second Stare came to wake them up; they started the night off playing Down, followed by Anymore, Take Me Back, Red Carpet Material, Ballad Of Billy Rose, Better Man, One More Time and finished the night off with the hard rock sound of Roxy; off their album Red Carpet Material.
The band was on the ball and brought energy to the stage playing to a great crowd. One of the
viewers came all the way from Indonesia to watch them play, a Facebook friend that certainly showed her dedication to the band.
16 Second Stare not only made an impression on the owner of the club, but the featured band Human X as well. After the show, one of the members came up to me and said “Dude, you guys ROCK! What a great sound you have.. I see great things for them in the future.” What a great
compliment to hear especially from another hard rock band.
This was the last stop of their northern tour, that started in New York City. The band now heads back home to Tampa, then onto Miami; to put on another show at the end of the week at the Dive Bar in Ft. Lauderdale.
